Conjuring cosmic funk, acid jazz, and Afro-futurist grooves that will inspire a raucous jam on the dance floor, trombonist Calvin Sexton & Friends will showcase their improvisation skills over their exhilarating interpretation of jazz. This Familly Jazz Jam event is part of the ongoing 3rd annual West Harlem Summer Jazz Festival, which lasts May 2nd through September 13th; this festival presents FREE live outdoor concerts, provided through a collaboration between the West Harlem Arts Alliance (WHAA) West Harlem Development Corporation (WHDC), NYC Parks, Harlem Late Night Jazz, the National Jazz Museum in Harlem (NJMH), IAMCHELSEAIAM, and the Montefiore Park Neighborhood Association.
